Scholl Electric – Jackson's #1 Electrical Company
Greg Scholl, owner of Scholl Electric, grew up working in the construction environment at his father's contracting company. The decision to become an electrician was very clear to Greg. On job sites, he realized he was more interested in what the electricians were doing, rather than what he was supposed to be working on.
While in high school, he took building trade classes at a local community college, and received college credit for his coursework. After graduating, Greg began working full-time for Spartan Electronics, gaining the important hands-on knowledge in industrial high-voltage wiring, motors, and controls.
In addition to working full-time, he began the process of becoming an electrician by attending Jackson Community College and taking evening classes. On his “off” nights, he started a company called Computerized Energy Systems, which installed energy management equipment to heating/cooling systems to lower energy costs.
In 1985, Greg completed the hours needed to become a Journeyman, and received his Electrical Journeyman license. All of his work and dedication to his dream paid off when he became a fully-licensed Master Electrician in 1987. In 1988, Greg started his own company, Scholl Electric, and as they say, the rest is history.
